The creator of "Succession" did not appreciate one potentially dangerous choice Jeremy Strong made while filming the series finale — even if it made sense dramaturgically to the actor.

In a new interview with NPR, showrunner Jesse Armstrong recalled the moment Strong attempted to jump into the Hudson River while shooting his character Kendall Roy's final scene. The Emmy-winning TV writer told his side of the story about a week after Strong revealed in a viral interview with Vanity Fair that he "tried to go into the water" because he thought maybe "Kendall just wanted to die."

The Colorado man who prosecutors say abducted and killed a Vermont man as part of a murder for hire conspiracy has pleaded guilty to charges that could land him in prison for life. On Friday, Jerry Banks appeared in Vermont U.S. District Court where he changed his plea to guilty. A sentencing hearing will be scheduled for a later date. Banks was charged with murder for hire that led to the January 2018 death of Gregory Davis, of Danville, Vermont. Banks initially pleaded not guilty. Davis’ body was found by the side of a snowy Vermont back road.

The government of Nicaragua has announced the confiscation of properties belonging to 222 opposition figures who were forced into exile in February after being imprisoned by the regime of President Daniel Ortega. The court system wrote in a statement Friday that the opposition figures had been declared "traitors to the homeland." They are also being stripped of their citizenship, measures that have been criticized as violations of international norms. Those taken from prison and forced aboard a flight to the United States on Feb. 9 included seven former presidential hopefuls, lawyers, rights activists, journalists and former members of the Sandinista guerrilla movement.
